Sonia Phillip
Sonia Phillip is serving as South Florida Program’s Manager. U.S. Navy Veteran with 8 years of active-duty service and more than 4 years dedicated to supporting chronically homeless and at-risk Veterans throughout South Florida. Experienced in housing crisis intervention, rapid rehousing coordination, mental health advocacy, and connecting Veterans with critical VA services, resources, and long-term support solutions. Passionate about ensuring Veterans receive the guidance, care, and stability they deserve. A graduate of Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s Degree; bringing both military leadership and community-based service experience to the mission of ending Veteran homelessness and combating Veteran suicide. Previously worked directly for a nonprofit organization assisting Veterans with rapid housing support, mental health support, financial resource navigation, emergency assistance referrals, and access to local community programs designed to improve quality of life and long-term stability. Dedicated to being a strong voice and advocate in Florida’s fight to end Veteran suicide through compassion, accountability, outreach, and service-driven leadership. Committed to educating the community to stand watch for those who have served ensuring no Veteran is left behind.
